Firetower Flyers is a remote control airplane club with the flying field located at 933 Massey Road, Piedmont, SC, 29673. We are chartered with the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics). Charter #4509.
Our flying field has a groomed runway measuring 100 feet wide and 600 feet long. There are five flight stations. The stations, flight line and pit area are laid out according to AMA specs. We have a 20′ by 40′ shelter and nice men’s and women’s bathrooms. The shelter and pilot pit area has electricity for charging.

To be a member of Firetower Flyers you must also be a member of the AMA. You can download a copy of the AMA’s application here. All planes must also follow the new FAA guidelines for model aircraft.
